Riding helmets

To select the appropriate size of the equestrian helmet, the head circumference should be measured at approximately 1 cm above the eyebrows and the result compared to the manufacturer's size table. The helmet should stick to the head, but not cause any pressure or discomfort. Adjustable strap and matching system allow for precise setting to ensure maximum safety.

The equestrian helmet should be replaced every about 5 lat or immediately after the fall, even if no damage is seen. Internal materials lose their absorbent properties over time, which reduces the level of protection. Regular control of helmet condition will help to assess whether it still ensures full safety.

Yes, many equestrian helmet models have a adjustment system that allows for precise adjustment to the shape of the head. The pushbuttons at the back of the helmet are often used, or replaceable inserts that allow for a better fit. This makes the helmet more stable, more comfortable and more effective to protect while driving.

A riding helmet should meet international safety standards, such as VG1 01.040, EN 1384:2017 lub PAS015. These standards guarantee that the helmet has passed endurance tests and effectively protects the head in case of a fall. Before buying it it is worth checking whether the product has the appropriate certificates and certificates.

Keep the equestrian helmet in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Soft cloths and delicate detergents should be used for cleaning, avoiding aggressive chemicals. Regular control of the straps and the adjustment system will ensure longer durability and effectiveness of protection.

Yes, helmets vary according to discipline – models for jumping and dressage are light and well ventilated, while helmets for WKKW or western can have a more built-in design. In disciplines that require greater protection, such as long-distance rallying or field riding, helmets with additional reinforcements are often used. The choice of helmet depends on the rider's preference and the type of riding he grows.

The use of a used equestrian helmet is not recommended as it may have invisible damage weakening its structure. The helmet that was involved in the fall may lose its protective properties, even if there are no visible cracks. For full safety it is always worth to buy a new, certified helmet.

The equestrian helmet can be fitted with size-matching inserts, sun visors, dirt-proof covers and winter earrings. Additional padding increases wear comfort and facilitates hygiene maintenance. Thanks to accessories, you can adjust the helmet to different weather conditions and individual needs.
