Granulates for horses – full-value feed for daily feeding

Granules are a convenient form of feed, which facilitates the exact dosage and limits the choice by the animal of the individual components of the mixture. Each serving provides a similar amount of energy, protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and fibers. Suitablely selected can be an important part of the diet of recreational, sports, breeding, young and older horses. Granulates minimise the risk of choking and improve the hydration of horses. The soft structure after soaking makes the granules ideal for horses with dental problems.

In contrast to loose mixtures, granular feed has a uniform form. Granules should preferably be administered in the 2-3 portions per day. The process of production can improve the use of nutrients, support proper digestion and increase the absorption of nutrients. Depending on the product, granules may contain oats, maize, wheat bran, beet pulp beetroot, alfalfa, grass, vegetable husks, yeast, prebiotics, molasses and vitamin-mineral additives. Granulates are usually cheaper than musla and easier to store.

Granules for recreational horses for daily work

Granules for recreants should provide energy to match light or moderate activity. The well balanced feed helps to maintain the overall condition, proper body weight and performance needed during recreational driving, working from the ground and trips to the field.

Products intended for animals doing daily work are often distinguished by a moderate content of protein, fat, sugar and starch. Appropriate levels of fiber have a beneficial effect on the digestive system and support proper digestion.

Granules for sports horses – support of performance and fitness

Granulated mixture for sports mounts should correspond to an increased demand for energy, protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Properly selected feed can support performance, regeneration after exercise, immunity and building muscle mass.

Depending on the purpose, energy may come from cereals, fat or easily digestible fibre sources. Before purchasing it is worth paying attention to the level of general protein, the content of amino acids, fat, fiber, sugar and starch.

For sports horses, granules tailored to training intensity

Professional sports animals must have a mix selected for the type of work done, the frequency of training and the current condition of the horse. Another level of energy needs a horse starting regular work, and another intensively training and competing in the competition.

Sports horse feed can contain corn, oats, alfalfa, beet pulp beetroot, vegetable oils and high quality protein sources. Vitamin-mineral additives help supplement your diet and support your body during increased effort.

Granules for older horses with dental problems

Granulated feed may be a good solution for age-old animals having difficulty biting hay, cereals or traditional compound feed. Depending on the manufacturer's recommendations, it may be administered either in dry form or after careful soaking.

Mixture for seniors should be easily digestible, tasty and rich in valuable fiber, protein, vitamins and minerals. The presence of alfalfa, beet pulp beetroot, yeast and prebiotics can positively affect the digestive tract and support the maintenance of normal body weight.

For older horses, granules are easy to prepare and administer

For horse seniors, granules can be administered as a wet meal, making it easier for animals with dental defects to be downloaded. The feed shall be soaked in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, with appropriate proportions of granules and water.

In the case of older horses, it is particularly important to take into account their health, dental quality, fitness and ability to maintain proper body weight. Regular fitness control allows you to adjust the dosage and composition of the entire diet accordingly.

Granules for breeding horses, stallions and mares

Breeding animals should have a granulated mixture tailored to increased energy demand, protein, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. This applies especially to stallions used in breeding, pregnant mares and lactating mares.

Feed may contain ingredients supporting the overall condition, fertility, regeneration and proper functioning of the body. The addition of minerals, including calcium sources such as calcium carbonate, helps supplement the diet of breeding horses.

Granules for foal mares and lactating mares

Feed for future mothers should respond to changing nutritional needs at subsequent stages of pregnancy. Appropriate amounts of energy, valuable protein, amino acids, calcium, phosphorus, vitamins and micronutrients are of particular importance.

Feeding cages have an increased demand for nutrients associated with milk production. A well selected granules support the condition of the mare, lactation and proper development of the foal. Dosage should be adjusted according to body weight, the stage of pregnancy or lactation and the quality of the other components of the diet.

Granules for horses as a uniform form of feed

The granulated mixture is a convenient solution because all ingredients of the mixture are combined into a uniform form. The animal cannot only choose the tastiest elements, so each serving provides a similar amount of nutrients.

Granulation can improve the use of nutrients and reduce the pollination of feed. This is particularly important for horses with picky, older or individual nutritional requirements. Granulat supports horses with RAO and allergies.

How to choose the right product?

When selecting the product, account should be taken of the horse's body weight, condition, type of work performed and energy and protein demand. The composition of the granules should be checked for unnecessary fillers. It is worth checking the content of fiber, fat, sugar and starch, as well as the presence of cereals such as oats and corn. Protein, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, yeasts and prebiotics are also important sources.

How does granules improve the use of nutrients?

The gritting process can increase the availability of certain ingredients for the body and facilitate even feeding. The uniform form makes the horse receive all the elements of the mixture in each serving. Granules for ulcer horses should be lightly digestible and low starchy.

The appropriate fibre content supports proper digestion, while yeasts and prebiotics can positively affect the microflora of the gastrointestinal tract. However, the properties of the mixture depend on the formulation, the quality of the raw materials and the method of processing.

How to choose granules for each horse?

Good feed should take into account the age, body weight, health, condition and level of activity of the animal. Other products need sports horses, other recreational horses, and yet another seniors, foal mares or young animals during the period of growth.

When selecting it is worth paying attention to composition, properties, analytical ingredients and recommended dosage. Granules should not be the basis for feeding a horse. Volumetric feed should remain the most important part of the animal's diet.

How to safely introduce new fodder?

The new feed should be introduced gradually, mixing it for several days with the pre-used product. Sudden changes in nutrition can disrupt the digestive system and increase the risk of digestive problems.

The horse should have constant access to fresh water and good quality hay. In the case of granules requiring anointing, the instructions on the amount of water and the time of preparation of the meal should be followed.

Dosage should take into account body weight, condition, level of training and nutritional value of other elements of the diet. Owners should observe the animal regularly and modify the portions accordingly.

Granules for horses – products tailored to different needs

This category includes products intended for recreational horses, sports, breeding, older, young and requiring a special method of feeding. Appropriate feed may support the overall condition, immunity, performance, muscle mass and proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract.

Before buying it is worth checking the composition, properties, dosage, regular price and current availability of the product. The lowest price may depend on the capacity, variant and current promotion. Properly selected granules facilitate the daily feeding and control of the amount of ingredients provided to the horse's body.
