Low Starch Gastro Mash is a low-sugar and low-starch mash for horses with sensitive digestive system and tendency to stomach ulcers. It contains after 5% sugar and starch, so it can be a suitable choice for horses requiring a light-digestible meal that supports the stomach and intestines without delivering a large amount of easily fermented carbohydrates.
The formula from KRAFFT has been enriched with live probiotic yeasts Levucell® SC, which help stabilize intestinal microflora, improve digestibility of feed and support better nutrient use. The addition of Maerl, or natural source of calcium and magnesium from sea algae, helps regulate the acidity of stomach content and supports mucosa protection. The product is certified BETA Feed Approach Mark confirming its usefulness in feeding horses and forgings susceptible to stomach ulcers.
The high fibre content supports the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, and after flooding with water mash provides an additional portion of fluids. Thanks to this, KRAFFT Gastro Mash will work as a mash irrigation for the horse after training, competition, transport or during hot days. It can be prepared with both hot and cold water, so it is easy to adjust the method of administration to the season and needs of the animal.
mash consists of KRAFFT Low Starch Gastro Mash, including alfalfa, wheat and oat bran, beet pulp beetted, green, flaxseed, rapeseed oil and sour calcium carbonate from marine algae. The combination of fiber, vegetable fat and probiotics makes the product a good solution for owners looking for mash for an ulcerary horse, feed supporting intestinal flora or a light digestible meal with stomach problems.
The recommended serving is 100–200 g dry product for each 100 kg horse's body weight. Mash should be mixed with at least three times the amount of water and left for a minimum of 20 minutes in hot water at temperatures up to 70°C or around 30 minutes in cold water.
