The Mebio brand created electrolytes with prolonged operation for sports horses, intensively working and exposed to high sweating, heat, transport and stress. The preparation helps supplement sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride lost together with later, supports hydration, regeneration after exercise and proper muscle work. Thanks to alginate, electrolytes are gradually released, which promotes longer action and milder effects on the digestive tract.
The formula contains dextrose, sodium chloride, potassium chloride, kaolin, montmorillonite, sodium hydrogen carbonate, calcium carbonate, magnesium chloride, alginate and vitamin C and E complex. Alginate forms a protective layer and helps to gradually release minerals, while kaolin and montmorillonite support the intestinal barrier. Vitamin C and E support cell protection against oxidative stress and body regeneration after exercise. It can also be used in ulcers and food-sensitive horses.
This product contains 6% sodium, 2,3% potassium, 3,1% magnesium, 10% chloride and 10% glucose. It also provides 12 600 mg vitamin C and 3000 mg vitamin E. MEBIO Electrolyte 1kg is an effective mineral supplement for horses supporting hydration, muscle regeneration and maintenance of normal electrolyte balance. They will work especially in sports horses, heavily sweating, sensitive and requiring additional support during heat, transport and intense effort. The product is free from doping and can be used during competitions according to FEI regulations.
The recommended daily serving for large horses weighing 500–600 kg is 20–40 g. Horses in light training can receive approximately 20 g per day, while during intensive work or during heat, the dose can be increased to 40 g per day. The preparation should be mixed with solid feed or dissolved in drinking water. One scoop contains approximately 10–12 g of the product. Electrolytes can be used periodically before and after exercise and during heat or long-term in horses with constantly increased demand.
