Alfa-A Oil is a high energy, high fibrous feed, developed for horses in intensive training and for those who have difficulty maintaining normal body weight and condition. It provides energy released gradually, primarily from fiber and fat.
Feed provides 12,5 MJ with digestible energy per kilogram, a level comparable to many conditioning and sports feeds. At the same time, the starch content is only 2%, so Dengie Alfa-A Oil can be a good alternative to high-energy feed based on a large quantity of cereals.
The basis of the product is alfalfa, a source of well absorbed fiber, natural protein, vitamins and minerals. High-quality protein supports the development and maintenance of normal muscle mass, so feed will work well in sports horses, working and requiring recovery. Additionally, alfalfa exhibits natural caching properties and is a valued dietary component supporting the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. Chaff has the designation BETA Feed Approach Mark for horses and forgings susceptible to Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome, which is why it can be used as part of a properly balanced horse diet with a tendency to stomach problems.
The addition of rapeseed oil increases the calorie of the dose without the need for large quantities of starch. The high fat content supports the maintenance of body weight, healthy appearance of the skin and shine of the hair. Dengie Alfa-A Oil is the most caloric fibrous feed in the manufacturer's offer.
The product does not contain added sugar, molasses, straw or preservatives. The natural sugar content is 4,5% and 2% starch. Thus, feed combines high energy value with low sugar and starch content.
Dengie Alfa-A Oil is not a complete feed containing a set of vitamins and minerals. When used as a primary source of feed, the manufacturer recommends that the dose be supplemented by a suitable balancer or vitamin-mineral preparation.
The recommended dosage is up to 500 g feed for each 100 kg horse's body weight per day. For a weighing horse 300 kg it means to around 1,5 kg daily, at mass 400 kg ed 2 kg , at mass 500 kg ed 2,5 kg and for a horse of weight 600 kg ori dic 3 kg A day.
