Dengie Healthy Hooves Molasses Free is a complete, high fibrous fodder, designed to support the proper health of the hooves and the feeding of animals requiring a low-sugar and starch diet. It does not contain added molasses, so it can be a good choice for horses that easily gain weight, are prone to oatmeal and require controlled feeding.
The basis of the formula is alfalfa and straw, which provide a large amount of fiber and support the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. The sugar content is only 2,5% and 1,5% starch, which is why chaff will work as low-sugar and low-starch feed for horses. In addition, it has been enriched with biotin, vitamins and minerals supporting proper growth and the quality of the hoof horn. When administered as recommended, a horse weighing approximately 500 kg receives approximately 15 mg biotins daily.
The composition also includes MSM, a source of sulphur, which participates in the formation of keratin – one of the basic components of the hoove horn. The combination of biotin, MSM, amino acids and minerals makes feed a part of the daily diet of horses requiring additional support of hooves. The addition of rapeseed oil provides energy and supports the maintenance of good condition and healthy appearance of the hair cover. At the same time, the energy value of the product remains moderate and is 8,5 MJ digestible energy per kilogram, so feed can also be suitable for horses and ponies with a tendency for excessive weight gain.
Dengie Healthy Hooves Molasses Free is a fodder balanced in terms of vitamins and minerals. At the full recommended dose, no additional use of standard vitamin-mineral balancer is required.
The recommended daily dose is approximately 500 g product for each 100 kg horse's body weight. The amount of feed should be adjusted according to body weight, condition, working level and other elements of the food dose. Every change in the diet should be introduced gradually.
