MEBIO is an innovative product that complements the deficiencies of the element in the horse's body. Zinc is important for the proper functioning of the immune system supporting the functioning of the liver and the detoxification process of the body. It also participates in the synthesis of collagen, the main protein building the connective tissue in the body, therefore has a positive effect on the skin and its products: hair and hooves. The product can also support wound healing, improving fertility and the overall condition of the horse.
Signs of zinc deficiency may include matt hair, crackling hooves, impaired immunity, growth disturbance, impaired wound healing, skin allergy symptoms, linden, liver dysfunction, and a low level of zinc confirmed by a study. The MEBIO Zinc+ supplement is recommended for horses with known deficiencies of this element, with no gloss of hair and crackling hooves, horses with impaired immunity, liver problems, digestion and in the event of impaired microbiome.
The preparation will also work during the period of hair replacement, during the period of growth of horses, in obese horses, breeding horses, with problems with stomach ulcers and in animals requiring muscle support and regeneration. Regular monitoring of the key elements supplied in the diet is important, therefore it is recommended to check the level of zinc before introducing the supplement with blood or hair tests - trichoscopy. A genetic examination of the feces showing whether the horse has digestive problems and impaired microbes can also be helpful. The composition includes linseed oil, Camco berry extract, lactic fermentation products, mineral-lysine chelates, apple vinegar, acerola, methyl folate and a complex of vitamins. The used forms of vitamins, including B12 methylcobalamin, support high digestibility and proper level of zinc in the body. The zinc in the supplement is 30 000 mg.
Dosage for horse about 500 kg: 50 ml daily with feed. Shake before use. Once opened, store in a cool, dry and shaded place, preferably at +2 to +8°C to maintain durability. The durability of the preparation is 12 months from the date of production. It should be remembered that long-term high-dose zinc intake may lead to a copper deficiency.
