Half chaps should be systematically impregnated, be careful not to get wet as wet skin loses its properties and deforms. Half chaps should not be washed in the washing machine! Chemical agents, detergents, water (especially hot) greatly destroy the skin, its appearance, shorten "life" and worsen the overall condition, i.e. weaken the joints, and adhesives and nici lose their assumed physical properties. Discolouration and distortion may occur. If you soak half chaps, dry them away from heat sources and heating equipment such as radiators, electric radiators, dryers, etc.
