The mix of Cavalor is a high-fibrous musli for healthy recreational and light-working horses. The manufacturer classifies them as 1 level feed for animals with low training load. The formula has been developed for horsebacks that do not need a large amount of fast-released energy, but require a well-balanced source of fiber and energy for daily operation. Flaked grain is easier to digest than unprocessed grain, and the absence of oats makes the feed well suited for horses more sensitive to fast energy sources.
The FiberBase Mix is based on components rich in fiber, including alfalfa, spelt scales, flax scales, soy scales and alfalfa stems. The fiber supports the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, prolongs the chewing time and helps supplement the horse's demand for energy from more stable sources. Barley and corn flakes improve deliciousness and provide additional energy without the need for oats.
Cavalor FiberBase Mix will work well as feed for recreational horses, light training and kept on a diet with a higher fibre share. The manufacturer recommends administering 400–700 g to 100 kg body weight per day. For a horse weighing 600 kg, this corresponds to 2,4–4,2 kg per day. Daily portions should be divided into several smaller meals, preferably administered after volumetric feed. A sufficient amount of good quality hay or other volumetric feed and constant access to fresh water should remain on the basis of feed.
