FiberForce Gastro is a highly fibrous musli for horses with a sensitive stomach, in particular for horses with a tendency to ulcers and recurring digestive problems. The formula has been developed to support the natural protection of the stomach walls, increase saliva production and help maintain a more stable environment in the digestive tract. Thanks to the very low sugar and starch content, feed also fits well in the feeding of horses requiring a low-sugar diet.
The mix is based on delicate sources of fiber, including alfalfa, teff, dried beet pulp beetroot and 8% stems. The high fibre content promotes longer chewing and greater salivary secretion, which naturally helps neutralise stomach acid. The addition of buffers and herbs helps maintain proper pH in the stomach, and the fenugreek improves the taste of feed.
Cavalor FiberForce Gastro contains only 4% sugars and 6% starch, so it can be a good choice not only as a feed for ulcer horses, but also for horses with insulin dysregulation, EMS, a tendency to grouch, overweight, or diseases such as PSSM or muscleachwat. The manufacturer shall also indicate its usefulness in horses susceptible to stress and with recurrent colics or diarrhoea.
The feed should be administered as 500–1000 g on 100 kg body weight daily. For a horse weighing 600 kg this means about 3–6 kg per day. The daily portion is best divided into several smaller meals and administered after volumetric feed. Good quality hay or other volumetric feed and constant access to fresh water should remain on the basis of feed.
Composition: Linseed scales, granules from alfalfa , sunflower seed meal, thyme, spelt husks, oat husks, soya oil, teff granules, peas, beet molasses, maerl 2% , linseed, dried beet pulp beetroot, herbs, monocalcium phosphate, sodium chloride, wheat, coconut fat, fenugreek, calcium carbonate, fructosesaccharides.
Analytical composition: crude protein 12% , crude fat 7% , crude ash 10,5% , crude fibre 25% sugars 4% starch 6% , calcium 1,5% , magnesium 0,3% , phosphorus 0,4% sodium 0,2%. Energy digestible DE (NRC): 8,03 MJ/kg.
