Marine algae of the species Ascophylum nodosum contain bioavailable minerals, vitamins, nutrients. They support bone mineralization, metabolic processes, including fat metabolism. They also have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer effects. Stock for 36 days.
Marine algae of the species Ascophylum nodosu, called seaweed, are multicellular macroscopic organisms found in coastal marine ecosystems that
are a rich source of polysaccharides, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), enzymes and bioactive peptides. They contain a wide range of organic minerals and trace elements with high digestibility.
When to use?
Characteristics:
Marine algae activity:
Anti-inflammatory effect - A recent study conducted at University College Cork using components of macroalg supplements, looked at their effects on cytokines
(family of molecules that help regulate the immune response and inflammation). Macroglons have been shown to have a significant anti-inflammatory effect.
Stomach acid buffering capacity - due to its high calcium content
Support for bone metabolism - multiplying cells undergo a number of changes resulting in bone tissue formation. The positive effect of algae has been proven
bone metabolism in growing horses. Fucoxanthin contained in brown algae enhances the generally understood osteogenic activity, and bone mineralization is also supported by calcium, magnesium and vitamin K content.
The transformation of matter - marine algae are a source of iodine, which helps in the production of energy, which translates into metabolism.
Metabolic problems - studies in mice have shown beneficial effects of Ascophylum nodosum algae. These algae have had an effect on the elimination of metabolic disease problems. They have contributed to significant weight loss, decreased blood glucose levels, as well as hepatic steatosis and a general tendency
Inflamed conditions.
Control of excess fat – fucoxanthin contained in lignite algae affects the activity of many enzymes responsible for fat metabolism, thus increasing the process of fat burning.
Anticancer effects – numerous studies have shown that fucoxanthin in the diet is converted to carotenoid, fucoxanthinone, with high potential
as an anticancer agent.
Vitamin K – in brown algae occurs in high concentrations in the form of phytomenadione. This is their valuable feature, because this vitamin is relatively difficult to find in nature. Proteins activated by the carboxylation process, the essential cofactor of which is vitamin K, are important for blood clotting, bone mineralization and the prevention of calcification of blood vessels.
Use in large horses (500kg)*:
20-30 g daily as 3-week treatment.
If a longer dose is required, reduce the dose to 10 g.
"Little horses and ponies are proportionally less."
Method of preparation:
Add to feed. It may be moistened immediately prior to administration.
One scoop contains approximately 20g of the preparation.
Tips:
Give Nie to pregnant mares.
The feeding cages should only be administered after consultation with the veterinarian due to high levels of iodine.
