Gastro Beet is an ungelatized beet pulp beetted for horses with sensitive digestive system, ulcers and animals requiring a low-sugar and starch diet. The product does not contain cereals or alfalfa, and the total starch and sugar content is below 10%, therefore it can be a valuable element of the feeding of horses with metabolic problems, underweights and weakened teeth.
The formula is based on unmelasted beet pulp beetroot, dried chaff with grass, corn sprouts, soy flakes, apple marc, linseed, and buckthorn maccarat. This combination provides easily fermented fibers, pectins, fat and amino acids, helping to support the digestive tract, maintain normal body weight, and rebuild the condition and muscle.
Beet pulp beetroot ST.HIPPOLYT Gastro Beet ungelatinized 20kg contains 11% crude protein, 10% fat, 16% fiber and 11,3 MJ digestible energy in kg. The calcium content is 0,6%, 0,2% phosphorus, 0,2% magnesium, and 0,5% sodium. The product also provides lysine, methionine, and treonine, which further increases its value in the feeding of lean and requiring improvement of the condition.
The recommended daily dose is approximately 100–500 g product for each 100 kg horse weight, administered in several portions. Beet pulp should always be soaked before administration. The manufacturer recommends mixing them with three times more hot water and leaving them for about 15 minutes. Using cold water, the saturation time is about 30 minutes. One litre of dry product weighs approximately 450 g.
