Beet pulp beet from SAMFARM is a simple, natural and valuable addition to the horse diet, which is a good source of easily fermented fiber and calmly released energy. They are formed from beet pulp, do not contain added molasses and, after appropriate soaking, form soft, easy to eat fodder. They can be used in recreational and sporting horses, as well as in seniors and animals with sensitive digestive systems.
The high fibre content supports the proper functioning of the intestinal tract, gastrointestinal microbiota and digestive processes. Beet pulp beets for horses will also work as a supplement to the diet with limited access to good quality volumetric feed, in horses with dental problems and during recovery. They can be a valuable source of energy without excessive stimulation. The composition of the product is 100% beet pulp ungelatinised, containing 8% protein and 18% crude fibre.
Beet pulp unbalanced beet SAMFARM should only be administered after careful soaking and swelling of the granules. They must not be given dry, as this may result in choking or clogging of the gastrointestinal tract. They can be combined with other feeds, including cereals, bran, travertococcal or granulated alfalfa. It should be remembered that unbalanced beet pulp beets have high calcium levels and very low phosphorus levels and need to balance bogsata feed into phosphorus.
The recommended dosage for a horse weighing approximately 600 kg is 1–2 kg dry product daily. Beet pulp should be introduced to the diet gradually and the amount adjusted to the individual needs of the horse. The animal should have constant access to fresh water.
