The Equiherbs supplement is a mineral feed additive for horses intended to supplement the calcium diet, especially during periods of increased demand for this element. Calcium plays a key role in the construction and mineralization of bones, so the product will work well in growing foals, foal mares and lactating mares, as well as in horses requiring additional support of the bone system.
The product can be particularly useful in young horses during periods of intense growth, as it helps to support the development of a strong and properly built skeletal bone. In pregnant and lactating mares, adequate calcium supply promotes the proper development of foal bones and helps reduce the risk of shortages in the mother.
Calcium carbonate EQUIHERBS 1kg can also be used as a feed element during recovery after bone injuries. The proper supply of this element supports the natural processes associated with the reconstruction and mineralization of bone tissue. The manufacturer also indicates its use as a supplement to the diet of horses with a tendency to allergic reactions such as rashes, oedema, cough or runny nose.
The product contains CaCO₃ calcium carbonate at the minimum amount of 94%, corresponding to the calcium content at the minimum level of 36,9%. The recommended daily serving for a horse weighing 500–600 kg is 30–70 g. Calcium carbonate should be thoroughly mixed with feed. The included measuring measure contains approximately 30 g product.
