Palatin Glyx-Wiese Heucobs are low-sugar travertocholes for horses, created with dried warm green air covering meadow grass, herbs and legumes. The product does not contain alfalfa, soya or cereals, so that it will work well as a supplement to the diet of food-sensitive, older, allergic horses and having difficulty maintaining normal body weight. Protein content at the level of 11% and raw fiber 23% makes the travertocholes provide valuable nutrients and support the proper functioning of the digestive tract.
Feed is distinguished by its low sugar content and belongs to the Glyx series and can therefore be used in horses for which it is particularly important to control the amount of sugar in the diet. Naturally occurring omega-3 fatty acids support the condition of skin, fur and hooves, and high fibre content helps supplement the diet with valuable volumetric fodder. The product can be useful especially when available hay has poorer quality or the horse needs easier to download alternatives.
Chaff ST.HIPPOLYT Palatin Glyx-Wiese Heucobs 20kg pellet will also be suitable for sports horses and intensively working, during competition and transport, as well as for seniors and animals with sensitive digestive system. After soaking, it creates a soft and tasty meal that can also be a convenient base for the administration of supplements or powdered medicines.
Before administration, travoculus should be soaked. The manufacturer recommends using 1,5–3 l water on 1 kg product and waiting a few minutes to swell it. If the volumetric feed is replaced, the recommended quantity is 1,2–1,5 kg for each 100 kg horse weight. As an additive, a varied diet can be given 300–400 g daily, after mixing with a suitable portion of water and feed.
