How do you recognize dehydration in a horse?
Even a slight dehydration can negatively affect the horse's well-being, performance and regeneration. Special attention should be paid to the following symptoms: reduced skin elasticity, dry or viscous mucous membranes, increased thirst, apathy and decreased energy, reduced performance during work and training, rapid heart rate, slower recovery after exercise, thickening of urine and less frequent urination, decreased appetite.
