Half chaps should be systematically impregnated, be careful not to get wet as wet skin loses its properties and deform. Half chaps should not be washed in the washing machine! Chemical agents, detergents, water (especially hot) greatly destroy the skin, its appearance, shorten "life" and worsen the overall condition, i.e. weaken the joints, and adhesives and nici lose their assumed physical properties.
