A careful safety focus led KEP Italia to create a special breathable and washable winter pad with soft pashmina-style ear protection that replaced the traditional indoor padding; designed for riders who often use warmers or woolen hats in winter, whose thickness prevents the correct fit of the riding helmet. The inner lining of riding helmets KEP Italia corresponds to the individual rider size. There is 12 sizes of which the first eight (from 51 ed 58 ) matches riding helmets in size M and the other four (from 59 ed 62 ) match to riding helmets in size L. Internal padding is a very important part of the riding helmet, as the correct fit on the rider's head depends on its proper thickness. The KEP Italia cartridge is one-piece and can be easily removed and placed inside the riding helmet. It can be washed by hand in cold water or in a washing machine at 30°C temperature. The lining is made of Coolmax®, a fabric using innovative fiber that keeps low temperature and facilitates skin hydration while quickly draining moisture (very quickly dries). The fact that the insert corresponds to the size of the rider's head means that riders who alternately wear loose or tied hair can use two interchangeable ones of different sizes. This also applies to children who change their head size during growth. Parents can buy a larger size and replace a cartridge that has become too tight without having to look for a new riding helmet.
