Asecurol is a clinical protective preparation for horses, designed to protect the stomach and intestine mucosa during pharmacological treatment and during recovery. It will work particularly well in horses receiving non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, steroids or antibiotics, as well as in animals suffering from intestinal irritation, digestive disorders, impaired immunity or under conditions of increased stress.
The formula combines bioactive lignans derived from flaxseed preparations, L-glutamine, probiotics and postbiotics complex, and herbs such as camomile, pramiglas, liquorice and Icelandic lichen. The polysaccharides and plant mucus contained in them form a coating and moisturizing layer, helping to protect the gastrointestinal mucosa. L-glutamine promotes intestinal epithelial regeneration, and probiotics and their fermentation products help maintain the balance of intestinal microflora.
The HIPPOVET protective preparation Asecurol 1kg can also be used in horses after colic, sedation, antibiotic therapy, during the period of changing stables, transport, competitions, desiccation or intensive training. The manufacturer shall also indicate the possibility of using the preparation in horses with gastric ulcers and enteritis. The product does not contain preservatives, dyes or GMO components.
The recommended daily serving is 10 g for each 100 kg horse weight. For a horse weighing 500 kg this corresponds to 50 g per day. In case of major problems, the dose may be increased after consulting a nutritionist or a veterinarian. It is best to soak in warm water for about 30 minutes and to administer with feed or alone, preferably in the evening. If soaking is not possible, it can also be given dry. One scoop contains approximately 30 g of the product.
With gastrointestinal problems, the manufacturer recommends using for a minimum of 3–4 weeks. After deworming or pharmacological treatment, the medicinal product may be administered by 7–10 days, whereas with chronic intestinal problems, long-term use is possible.
Composition: bioactive Lignans extracted from herbal preparations based on linseed and herb complex: camomile baskets, medical lignite root, smooth licorice root, Icelandic lichen dried; L-glutamine, probiotic complex (Lactobacillus rhamnosus NCIMB 8010, Pediococcus acidilactici NCIMB 8018, Enterococcusfaecium NCIMB 11181, min. 5,0 x109 ) and their fermentation products, rice bran, calcium carbonate.
