Gastrogel HIPPOVET is a gel preparation for horses with stomach and duodenal ulcers, as well as animals exposed to stress, intense training, transport and environmental changes. The formula forms a protective layer on the mucosa of the stomach, promotes its regeneration and can be used both during treatment with EGUS as well as prophylactically after completion of treatment. The supplement does not alter the pH of the stomach, therefore it can also be used in the long term.
The formula contains large molecular hyaluronic acid, sodium alginate, beta-glucans derived from four species of fungi, aloe extract and bioactive polypeptides, peptides and amino acids derived from New Zealand clams. These ingredients help to protect the mucous membrane, promote epithelial reconstruction and support natural repair processes. The addition of L-glutamine, glycine and L-cysteine complements the formula with amino acids essential for the condition of gastrointestinal cells.
Gastrogel for horses also provides organic zinc and 8000 mg hyaluronic acid per kilogram of product. Included in beta-glucans, nucleotides, collagen peptides and elastin help to repair tissues and maintain a normal gastric protective barrier. The product may be particularly useful in animals with recurrent ulcers, less responsive to standard treatment and animals with stomach discomfort in stressful situations. Supplement for ulcers HIPPOVETPharmacy Gastrogel is a preparation for ulcer horses supporting the protection of the stomach mucosa, the regeneration of erosions and maintaining the comfort of the gastrointestinal tract. It will work especially in sports horses, nervous horses, often transported and exposed to increased stress. The preparation is free from doping according to the guidelines of FEI. Gastrogel 1,2l and 2,5l variants are available. Once opened, store it at 2–8°C and use it within 2 months.
With intense support, during treatment, strong stress or with symptoms of EGUS the recommended daily serving is 10 ml preparation for each 100 kg horse weight, divided into two servings, by a minimum of 28 days. Use 5 ml preventively and sustainably for each 100 kg body weight daily, in two portions or once immediately before work or stress situation. The preparation may be administered directly into the mouth or after mixing with feed. It can be used long-term as an element of EGUS prevention.
