MuscleGuard is an advanced supplement for sports horses, developed for muscle regeneration after intense effort, reducing stiffness and supporting the return to full fitness. The preparation will work particularly well in horses competing in competitions, intensively trained, after muscle overload and in animals having difficulty building muscle mass.
The formula combines MSM, hyaluronic acid, astaxanthin, betaine, lysine, methionine, whey protein and a complex of vitamins and minerals. These ingredients help to rebuild muscle tissue, protein synthesis, normal cell metabolism and protect cells from oxidative stress. The addition of vitamin C, E, B1, B2 and B12 and magnesium, selenium, zinc and manganese promotes regeneration, performance and proper muscle work.
The HIPPOVETPharmacy MuscleGuard Supplement 1kg can be particularly useful in horses exposed to muscle micro-injuries, prolonged physical stress and increased fatigue after exercise. The manufacturer also indicates its use to help replenish glycogen and electrolyte stocks and reduce accumulation of lactate in the muscles. Included in the herb formula, such as field horsetail, camomile, dandelion and parsley, supplement the metabolic and antioxidant effects of the preparation.
This product contains 19,5% crude protein, 10,6% fiber, 8% fat and 14% raw ash. It also provides 7% lysine, 6,5% methionine, 2,5% magnesium, 1,5% sodium, 42 234 IU vitamin E, 39 008 mg vitamin C and 108 411 mg betaine hydrochloride/DMG per kilogram of product.
The recommended daily serving for an adult horse weighing above 500 kg is 30 g. The manufacturer recommends that 2 be administered days before the competition, on the day of the start and the day after the competition. In case of muscle ailments MuscleGuard can be used daily for 4 weeks. In ponies and smaller horses, the dose should be reduced accordingly. The preparation is to be administered together with the feed and does not require anointing. One scoop contains approximately 40 g of the product.
