Mucolitol is a supplement for horses developed for long-term support of the respiratory system. It will be particularly good for horses with RAO/COPD horse asthma, respiratory allergy, recurrent cough and tendency to infection of the upper and lower airways. The plant ingredients contained in it support the bronchial tract, facilitate the removal of late secretions and help maintain the comfort of free breathing.
The formula contains smooth licorice, purple porcupine, thyme, camomile, ginger root, wild rose fruit and cinnamon. Thyme helps to de-cush and relax the airways, while licorice helps to alleviate irritation of mucous membranes. The ginger supports the bronchial and lung condition, and the porcupine and wild rose help maintain the proper functioning of the body's natural defense mechanisms.
The composition is supplemented by flax seeds, skimmed rice bran, vitamin C and inactivated Lactobacillus rhamnosus and Lactobacillus plantarum. This combination makes Mucolitol a valuable supplement to the diet of horses with a sensitive respiratory system, especially in periods of increased pollination, allergies, infections and during recovery after bronchositis. Thanks to the action of herbs supporting mucous membranes and airways, it can be an element of daily feeding horses requiring special care for the respiratory system.
The recommended daily serving is 10 g for each 100 kg horse's body weight, or about 50 g for a horse weighing 500 kg. The product should be soaked in warm water before administration and then mixed with feed. One scoop contains approximately 30 g. In justified cases, the dose may be increased after consultation with a specialist. The manufacturer recommends 48-hour penalty before starting in the competition, even though the product does not contain directly prohibited substances by FEI.
