TendoRegen is a specialized preparation for horses supporting the regeneration of tendons, ligaments and other soft tissues. The formula was developed for horses after injuries, overloads, recurrent problems of the movement apparatus and animals returning to work after injury. It will also work for athletes during intensive training and regeneration between start seasons.
It contains glycosaminoglycans derived from New Zealand bivalve molluscs, chondroitin, collagen of the type II, MSM, nucleotides and nucleosides, and bioactive peptides. These components facilitate the reconstruction and maintenance of connective tissue flexibility and provide building blocks important for tendons and ligaments. The formula is supplemented by magnesium, selenium, copper, manganese, silicon and vitamin E, as well as herbs such as black claws, beams, ginger, lard, sage and thyme.
HIPPOVETPharmacy TendoRegen 2,5l tendon supplement can be used both during recovery after tendon and ligament injuries, as well as preventively in horses with a tendency to overload and injury. The gel form facilitates the administration of the preparation directly into the mouth or after mixing with the feed.
The recommended daily serving for a horse weighing approximately 500 kg during the treatment is 90 ml, i.e. 3 pumps daily, for 6 weeks. The 60 ml should be used as a preventive injection per day, i.e. 2 pumps. In animals weighing below or above 500 kg, the dose should be adjusted proportionally to body weight. The daily portion is best divided into two doses. One pump corresponds to 30 ml of the preparation. The product may be used in long-term horses during recovery and animals susceptible to overload.
Due to the content of the black claw, the preparation should not be used during the competition. The manufacturer recommends stopping it at the latest 3–4 days before the start. TendoRegen is also not recommended for foal mares, feeding or foals.
