MSM - Sulphur is an essential element in the body for the production of antibodies, enzymes, glutathione, collagen and keratin. It is particularly valued because of its ability to reduce inflammation in the bone-muscular system, as well as its contribution to the production of connective tissue ( cartilage, collagen).
MSM is known for a number of pro-health properties and is successfully used in horse supplementation.
When to use:
- with horses undergoing heavy training
- in horses with osteoarthritis
- during arthritis, muscles, tendons, bones
-to improve skin, hair and hooves
-with skin irritations, a tendency to abrasion,
- to minimize allergic skin and respiratory symptoms
Action:
-anti-inflammatory - inhibits the multiplication of protein complexes involved in inflammatory processes and also reduces the production of cytokines, which are proteins that signal inflammation. In particular, it inhibits the production of prostaglandin - a hormone whose increased presence contributes to the development of inflammation
-improvement of the condition of skin, hair and hooves - due to its key role in collagen and keratin production, has a significant impact on their condition, it also has beneficial effect on the connective tissue, thereby supporting the wound healing process. It also participates in the formation of proteins and amino acids that are the building blocks of tissues.
-strates - stimulates collagen production, which accelerates muscle and joint regeneration, also builds cartilage and improves the condition of joint synovies
-mobility – anti-inflammatory and flexible effects of joints with osteoarthritis, which is often the cause of pain. Joint degeneration can negatively affect the quality of life, limiting movement and mobility on a daily basis. Studies in humans have shown that MSM supplementation reduced pain, stiffness and joint swelling.
- muscle regeneration - accelerates muscle regeneration after intense effort by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress, among other things by increasing the level of high-active antioxidant - glutathione. This also prevents muscle pain and stiffness after heavy training.
-antioxidative action - relieves oxidative stress caused by the training load. Studies on horses have shown the effectiveness of MSM in eliminating the effects of free radicals as a result of great physical effort. Studies have shown that the best antioxidant effect is achieved with vitamin C.
-resistance - sulphur reduces inflammation and oxidative stress, provides strong support for the immune system. In addition, it plays a role in the creation of glutathione, which is crucial for resilience and good health.
-allergic – MSM by reducing inflammation and inhibiting the release of cytokines and prostaglandins effectively reduces symptoms such as tearful eyes, itching, runny nose, cough and shortness of breath in people with allergies
Composition: 100% methylsulfonylmethane - food quality
Application:
Add to feed. It may be moistened immediately prior to administration.
Inject into the diet gradually.
Store in a dry and cool place. After use, close tightly.
Dosage:
Konie large (500 kg):
-8 g daily in preventive use
-in inflammatory conditions, initiating dose 15g by the first 4 days, 30g by another 10 days and continuation 10 g by another 2 weeks
Little horses and ponies proportionally less.
Use of MSM longer than by 30 the days should be carried out under controlled conditions due to the potential for suppression of copper and selenium absorption.
Studies on horses have shown that the best antioxidant effects that eliminate the negative effects of heavy physical training are achieved using MSM with vitamin C at the dose of 8 g and 5 g respectively.
One scoop contains approximately 4g of the preparation.
