Hesta Plus Iron formulation for horses containing concentrated iron, supporting the proper functioning of the bloodstream, immune and nervous system, and helping to maintain good body performance. The manufacturer specifically recommends it to horses with anaemia, reduced performance, impaired immunity and confirmed iron deficiency.
Iron plays an important role in the production of hemoglobin and oxygen transport, and its adequate supply is therefore important for sports horses, intensively working and weakened animals. Supplementation can be helpful in situations where studies indicate a low level of this element or when the horse shows symptoms that may suggest its deficiency. Before starting treatment, the manufacturer recommends that a blood or hair test be performed to properly assess the need.
The supplement ST.HIPPOLYT Hesta Plus Iron 1kg granules include dried chaff with grass, yeast products rich in RNA and nucleotide, Palatin soya, flaxseed, sunflower seeds, linseed and sunflower oil, turmeric, vinegar and chicory inulin. This product contains 20% crude protein, 6% fiber, 4% fat and 30 000 mg iron. A fine granulated form facilitates daily measurement and accurate mixing of the preparation with feed.
The recommended daily dose is from 3 to 5 g supplement for each 100 kg horse weight. For a horse weighing 500 kg, this corresponds to a portion of about 15–25 g per day. It should be administered for five days a week and then taken a two-day break. One scoop contains approximately 12 g of the product.
Composition: chaff from warm air dried grass, yeast products (rich in RNA and nucleotides), Palatin soya – a species without a bitter taste (mixed), a mixture of oilseeds (linseeds, sunflower seeds) 10%, a mixture of cold pressed oil (linseed, sunflower) 7%, turmeric, vinegar, inulin from chicory.
