Supplement for horses from St.Hippolyt brand contains high concentration of magnesium and vitamin B12. It is especially designed for nervous animals, susceptible to stress and having difficulty concentrating. The preparation can also be used in horses with magnesium deficiency, ‘burning’ during work, as well as ulcers and with a tendency to colic.
Magnesium plays an important role in the proper functioning of the nervous system and muscles, participates in the transmission of nerve impulses and metabolic processes. It also helps in muscle regeneration and reduction of contractions. Vitamin B12 supports the functioning of the nervous system, concentration, appetite and proper use of nutrients from feed. The combination of these ingredients can foster a calmer horse reaction to stressful situations and better focus during work.
The composition includes, among others, magnesium fumarate, magnesium oxide, magnesium sulphate, linseed, sunflower seeds, cold pressed oils, maize sprouts, carrots, beer yeast and a mixture of herbs including peppermint, camomile, blueberry leaves, medical ruttice and beam. The formula is also supplemented by cinnamon, turmeric, fruit fiber and banana flour. It contains 16% magnesium and vitamins A, D3, E, B1, B2, B6 and B12, biotin and selenium.
The recommended daily dose is 5 g product for each 100 kg horse's body weight, administered together with solid feed. For a horse weighing 500 kg, this corresponds to a portion of about 25 g per day. The manufacturer recommends using the supplement for approximately 2–4 weeks. One scoop contains approximately 13 g of the preparation.
