Vitamin C is a horse supplement containing 99,69% L-ascorbic acid. The product is designed to supplement the diet of horses with vitamin C, especially during periods of intense effort, stress, recovery or weakening of the body. It will work for both sports and recreational horses.
Vitamin C is a strong antioxidant that helps protect cells from oxidative stress and supports the proper functioning of the immune system. It also participates in collagen synthesis, which is why it is important for the proper condition of joints, tendons, ligaments and skin.
The supplement can be particularly useful for intensively trained horses, during competitions and transport, as well as in older animals and undergoing recovery. The manufacturer also points to the possibility of combining vitamin C with MSM, as it may increase the bioavailability of organic sulphur.
Horses weighing approximately 550 kg are recommended to administer 5 g daily, corresponding to one flat measuring machine. In periods of increased demand, the dose can be increased to 8 g daily. The ponies should receive 3 g product per day and with greater demand for 5 g. The appropriate amount of the preparation should be mixed with solid feed.
