Senior Minerals is a complex of vitamins and minerals for older horses, developed for animals with increased demand for components supporting metabolic metabolism, regeneration and immunity. The preparation will be particularly suitable for seniors, lean horses, low weight gainers, during recovery, with poorer nutrient absorption and poorer quality hay, steamed or wet. It contains highly bioavailable minerals derived from yeast, thus helping to effectively supplement deficiencies typical of older horses.
The formula was enriched with natural collagen type I and III and astaxanthin, which acts as a strong antioxidant. These ingredients promote cell protection against oxidative stress, support tissue regeneration and help maintain joint, tendon and ligament elasticity. The addition of processed flax, soya and blackberry seeds provides amino acids, fatty acids and vitamins essential for the condition of muscles, skin and hair.
Senior Minerals also contains an extensive mixture of herbs, including mammary sphincter, nettle, dandelion , haze, chamomile, licorice, St John’s wort , Icelandic lichen, purple porcupine, wild rose, thyme ginger and cinnamon. Thanks to this, the preparation can have a beneficial effect on the functioning of the liver, heart, cardiovascular system, digestive tract and respiratory tract. The addition of Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast promotes proper operation of intestinal microbiobiome and better use of feed fibre.
It provides calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, manganese, copper, selenium, iron, iodine and cobalt, as well as vitamin A, D3, E, C and B vitamins, biotin, folic acid, niacin, lysine and methionine. Contains 16,4% calcium, 2,6% phosphorus, 2,3% magnesium, 5000 mg zinc, 1500 mg manganese, 1200 mg copper, 12 mg selenium, 10 000 mg vitamin E and 30 000 mg vitamin C in a kilogram of product. Vitamins and minerals of MEBIO Senior Minerals 4kg help supplement deficiencies, support immunity, metabolism, regeneration and proper condition of joints, muscles and tissues. It may also be used in horses with PPID, IR or EMS, as the manufacturer considers that it does not contain simple sugars or ingredients that increase glucose and insulin levels.
The recommended daily serving for large horses is 150 g, while for 40–50 g ponies. The preparation should be administered with feed or chaff. In justified cases, the dose may be increased after consultation with a nutrition specialist. The product can be used long-term as a daily supplement to vitamins and minerals in older horses. In the case of foal and lactating mares, you should consult your veterinarian or nutritionist in advance.
