GastroMash is a grain-free mash for ulcerated, colic, metabolic horses and animals with sensitive gastrointestinal tract. The low sugar content below 5% and starch at the level of 6% makes it possible to use the product also in horses with EGUS, EGGD, metabolic syndrome, Cushing’s disease, and in animals requiring a light diet during recovery. Mash will also work well after treatments, sedation, anesthesia, gastroscopic surgery, dental procedures and past colics.
The formula contains ingredients rich in natural mucus and fiber, including flaxseed, grandmother finch, wild iron, Icelandic lichen and red elm bark. After soaking, they form a delicate consistency that helps to protect and moisturize the mucosa of the stomach and intestines. The addition of hyaluronic acid supports the proper condition of the mucosal barrier, while the topinambur acts as a source of prebiotic components conducive to the development of beneficial intestinal microbiota.
The composition also includes dried apples, aronia, currant, buckthorn, hemp seeds, grape seeds, macaws, camomiles, nettles and turmeric. The product provides 14,7% raw protein, 18,6% fat, 19,8% fiber and 11,6 MJ digestible energy per kilogram. It has been enriched with vitamins A, D3, E and vitamins B and zinc, manganese, copper, iron, selenium and iodine.
Mash HIPPOVETPharmacy VetLine GastroMash can be used daily as a food element for horses with a sensitive stomach and as a light digestible meal after training, stress or intense exercise. It will also work well in older horses with problems with teething and appetite and in mares in the perinatal period. The high content of fiber and fat, at the same time low sugar and starch levels, allows you to supplement your diet with easily digestible carbohydrates.
The recommended daily serving is 50 g product for each 100 kg horse weight. For a horse weighing 500 kg this corresponds to 250 g per day. Mash should be flooded with summer water in proportions of at least 1:1 and left at a minimum of 15 minutes and then administered after cooling. In horses after sedation, colic or childbirth, the product may be administered 2–4 times daily after consultation with a veterinarian. One scoop contains approximately 25 g of the product.
