Cavalor is a high-energy musli mixture for sports horses, designed to feed horseback in a constant training. Feed has been developed for competitive horses who need a well-absorbed source of energy, adequate protein levels and a wide range of vitamins and minerals to support performance, metabolism and regeneration. Cavalor classifies Perfomix as a feed of 3 level, suitable for horses undergoing very frequent and demanding training.
The formula contains barley flakes and puffed cereals, including maize and barley, which are easier to digest than unprocessed cereals. Heat treatment improves the availability of starch and allows the animal’s body to use energy from feed more efficiently. The addition of fructose and ingredients supporting intestinal microflora helps maintain the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, which is of particular importance in sports horses receiving larger amounts of feed.
The CAVALOR Perfomix 20kg musli feed also provides a complex of vitamins, including B vitamins, which participate in energy transformation and help the body use nutrients effectively during exercise. Vitamin E supports the protection of muscle cells against oxidative stress, so the mixture fits well into the needs of horses competing in competitions, intensively trained and requiring higher energy supply without excessive increase in dose volume.
The manufacturer recommends giving 450–800 g feed to 100 kg body weight per day. For a horse with a weight of 600 kg, this means about 2,7–4,8 kg per day. Daily portions should be divided into several smaller meals and preferably administered after volumetric feed. The horse should have constant access to good quality hay and fresh water.
