Leichter Mix is a musli for horses who do light work or remain in maintenance, developed with a view to balanced eating without oats. The recipe with alfalfa, apples and light-digested cereal will work well with recreational horsemen and those who do not need high-energy sports feed.
Feed has a matching protein content and low sugar content of 4%, so it can be used as a daily musli for horses in light training. The addition of alfalfa and apple pulp increases the share of the fiber and improves tastyness, and barley and hydrothermal-treated maize are easier to digest.
Josera Leichter Mix is a fully mineralized supplemental feed. With a daily dose of at least 2 kg in a large horse, it provides a sufficient amount of vitamins and minerals, therefore it does not require an additional standard mineral preparation. At a lower dose, the manufacturer recommends completing the diet with Josera Joker Mineral or Josera Kraut & Rüben Mineral feed.
The recipe without oats allows you to easily fit the food to the needs of a specific horse and combine the musli with the oats used in the stable if necessary. If the mixture is the only compound feed administered to hay, the recommended daily dose is approximately 300–500 g for each 100 kg body weight, depending on the intensity of work and energy demand. For a horse weighing 500 kg, this means about 1,5–2,5 kg per day. One litre of feed weighs about 510 g. Due to the content of trace elements, the product should not account for more than 50% of the total daily food dose.
