Liquorice is a natural herb for horses in the form of a cut root that can support the proper functioning of the respiratory and digestive system. Thanks to the mitigating properties, it will work especially in horses with sensitive airways, exposed to intense effort, dust or contaminated air.
Liquorice root EQUIHERBS helps alleviate respiratory irritation and can support breathing comfort. At the same time, it has a beneficial effect on digestive processes and the absorption of nutrients, so it can be a valuable addition to the daily diet of horses requiring support of the digestive tract and general condition.
Naturally, the sweet taste of the plant improves the tastyness of the feed, which can be particularly useful in horses which are picky or reluctant to draw less attractive nutritional additives. The root can be given alone or combined with other herbs for horses, e.g. mint or thyme.
The product consists of 100% with a smooth licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra). The recommended daily serving for a horse weighing 500–600 kg is 10–30 g. The herb should be mixed with the feed. The manufacturer indicates that the product should not be used in foal mares.
