Why can only a few hours of foals gallop at the same speed as his mother? If a talented jumping horse can jump 1,8 The four-year-old subway, what it really needs to learn to master parkur Olympic with obstacles of the highest height 1,65 A subway? If a recreational horse is subjected to very small loads for many years and spends a lot of time on pastures, why can it fall into exactly the same diseases as the best sports horse with chronic overload teams? Why do some talented riding horses quickly develop muscles and others almost never at all, even though they are trained by experienced riders? We can only answer these questions if the musculoskeletal system of the horse is analysed from a functional point of view. Stefan Stammer took into account the latest research results and asked himself how the kinetic energy of the horse is generated and what structures are used to transfer it to the motion on the dressage quad, on the racetrack and on the jumping parks.
The fascia systems – structures that have been increasingly at the centre of scientific interest in recent years – are also the main point of motion analysis in this book. The author also wonders whether the classical riding theory, with the training pyramid as its central element, can meet the current knowledge of the biomechanical dependence of the horse's movement. The answers are both simple and complex: the development of positive body tension is the key to the health and results of each horse on the back. According to this assumption, the classical riding theory provides an excellent basis for training theory in terms of development and control of positive tension. This knowledge applies to every rider who wants to make reasonable and competent decisions about the right ways to train his horse.
