KRAFFT Sport Original is a high-energy feed for sports horses and intensively working, which need additional support during demanding training and competitions. The high energy value of 12 MJ of metabolic energy per kilogram helps to supplement the demand of hard-working horses, supports good fitness and allows to provide the strength needed to achieve sporting results.
Feed contains 7% fat, which is a concentrated source of energy, and 24% starch. It will be particularly effective in horses that are well tolerated in grain feed and require a more energy-intensive food dose. KRAFFT Sport Original can be given to horses starting in competitions, regularly training, working in high intensity and animals who are difficult to maintain proper fitness with standard feeding.
The product can be combined with feed from the KRAFFT Groov line, which allows to flexibly match food to the current stage of work. The greater share of KRAFFT Sport Original can be used during the starting period when the horse needs more energy, while Groov feed can account for most of the dose during trainings aimed at muscle development and regeneration.
The feed consists of fodder oats, pressed beet pulp beet, wheat, wheat and oat bran, beet molasses, rapeseed oil, potato protein and alfalfa. The product provides 10% raw protein, 11% raw fibre and 5 g lysine per kilogram. It has also been enriched with vitamins and minerals including vitamins A, D3, E, C and vitamins of Group B, as well as zinc, copper, manganese, iron, iodine and selenium.
The indicative dosage is approximately 0,2–0,4 kg feed for each 100 kg horse's body weight. The animal weighing 500 kg can therefore receive approximately 1–2 kg of the product per day, depending on the level of work, condition and other elements of the dose. Daily portions should be divided into several smaller meals, and prior to the administration of the solid feed, the horse should have access to good quality hay. Additional supplements with appropriate mineral feed may be necessary at lower doses.
