Josera Fohlen & Stute is a high-quality muesli mix for pregnant and lactating mares and for foals up to the end of their first year of life. Breeding mares have special requirements for the supply of energy, proteins and minerals during the last third period of pregnancy and lactation. The foals also have specific requirements for the daily dose of feed in the first year of age.

Josera Fohlen & Stute contains a lot of protein derived from high quality protein sources, providing the horse with essential amino acids. They are needed to create milk proteins and optimal foal growth. Hydrothermic processing of cereal flakes at Josera Fohlen & Stute provides ease of digestibility and helps to cover increased energy demand. The calcium, copper and zinc content is adapted to the special needs of foals and mares. Copper, which is particularly important for the development of foal joints, occurs in an organic and mineral-bound form, which makes it easily digestible. The vitamins contained support the fertility of the mare, strengthen the vitality of the foal and support a healthy immune system.

Thanks to its unique feed composition, the mare produces particularly rich milk, which contributes to the best care for the foal. In addition, Josera Fohlen & Stute can contribute to the better condition of the mare, through optimal supply of its energy and vitamins.

Dosage:

When we use this product as the only feed to supplement the daily hay dose:
On one foal per day (about 600 kg in an adult horse):
from 2 . to 12 months of age: 0,5–2,5 kg Josera Fohlen & Stute

For one mare per day (about 600 kg weight):
from 8. months of pregnancy to childbirth: approximately 1,5 kg Josera Fohlen & Stute
from 1. to 3. of the lactating month: about 4 kg Josera Fohlen & Stute
from 4. to 5. of the lactating month: 4–2,5 kg Josera Fohlen & Stute.

If you are given less feed, we recommend adding Josera Joker Mineral or Josera Kraut & Rüben Mineral to it.
